Packer/Loader, Entry 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Packs furniture product for shipment in boxes or crates, as specified.  Operates glue gun to assemble carton box, check product for quality and completeness, place products in the appropriate carton, inspects filled container to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications, label containers and stacks packaged products on a pallet. To become familiarized and know the different colors, carton sizes and measurements stated on the work orders. Occasionally will perform any job related to the process of manufacturing or assembling quality parts/products. Performs general housekeeping in work area, and other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements/Qualifications

Job Requirements/Qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:  A minimum of 1 year of prior experience.  Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds varying from floor to above shoulder level.  Ability to occasionally push and/or pulls up to 75 pounds. Ability to routinely bend, stoop, reach, stack, overhead levels. Follow all of the safety regulations. Must have good communication skills, good basic mathematical skills and good analytical abilities. Ability to work in a team oriented environment. Must be flexible to cross train in other departments, such as the metal and wood shop department. Ability to meet the quality work standards. Be flexible to work overtime, including Saturdays.
